Interested in becoming a Faculty Sports Leader?
The Faculty Sports Leaders represent students from each faculty. The sports leaders work closely with The University of Auckland Sport team, to coordinate student managers, coaches & players and to help advertise all Interfaculty Sports Championship tournaments. Sports leaders attend regular meetings and workshops to feedback around the tournaments to work towards their personal development.
Key accountabilities:
- Recruitment and supervisory leadership of specific sports managers
- Be apart of the sports leadership programme
- Ensure a high profile for sport within faculty and encourage excellence
- Network with key faculty personnel to ensure that best practice is being followed for recruitment and promotion of events.
- Advise the sport and recreation team on the quality and direction of the Interfaculty competition, and proposals for possible future development of tournaments.
- Be responsive to students needs and proactive in providing advocacy and advice.
