Mental health support

We offer support to students who are living with a mental health impairment and assist them to achieve their maximum potential while studying at the University of Auckland.

The type of support varies according to each student’s specific needs. It may involve emotional support, practical help and advice, assistance in crises, study planning, advocacy, liaison with external agencies such as key workers or networking with University staff.

Students can be seen on an ongoing or intermittent basis or for assistance with specific issues requiring short term intervention/support.

Louise Pentney and Anne-Marie Keenan are the student Mental Health Advisers. Students with mental health disabilities or illness do not need a referral to see them.
