Career advice is available for students and graduates with disabilities who wish to discuss career planning and directions and how it links in with their studies.
Workbridge employment consultant
Workbridge is a specialist employment service focused on supporting people with all types of disability, injury or illness. A Workbridge employment consultant is available on Thursday mornings on the City campus to meet students with the aim of connecting them with prospective employers. The employment consultant provides one-to-one career counselling, including:
- Career direction and options
- Skills identification
- Writing a good CV and cover letter
- Job and internship search skills
- Interview preparation
- Advice on possible barriers to obtaining employment
- Advice on disclosing/ not disclosing a disability
Please note that Workbridge is not able to meet with international students. International students may instead make an appointment with CDES.

Students who are not based in the City campus can arrange an appointment by phone or video. Complete Workbridge's online enrolment form and mention 'University of Auckland' when answering 'How did you find out about us?'.
