We aim to provide an outstanding experience for all doctoral candidates at the University of Auckland.
The overall doctoral programme at the University of Auckland is managed and supported by the School of Graduate Studies (SGS), with governance and oversight by the Graduate Research Committee (GRC).

About the Graduate Research Committee (GRC)
The Graduate Research Committee (GRC) is responsible for the governance of doctoral programmes. It is chaired by Professor JR Rowland, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global and Graduate Research, and includes, amongst others, Professor Vivien Kirk, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for Graduate Research, and the Associate Deans/Directors Postgraduate Research from all faculties and LSRIs.

About Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA)
Te Rōpū Kahikatea | Auckland University Students’ Association (TRK-AUSA) advocates for students and represents their voice at the University of Auckland, delivers student advice and support services, advises on academic and welfare matters, and runs events on campus to bring the University community together.

Doctoral complaints and disputes
If you are a doctoral candidate and wish to make a formal complaint to the University, there are a number of avenues to follow, depending on the nature of your complaint:
