Canadian student loans
The University of Auckland participates in the Canadian Federal and Provincial Student Loan programmes. Our Institution Code is VUAB.
Funding for one new scholarship per year for candidates from Canada and the United Kingdom.
Chilean CONICYT Scholarships
These scholarships are open to students from the Republic of Chile who intend to undertake a masters or PhD programme at the University of Auckland.
China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarships
A scholarship programme developed with the China Scholarship Council for Chinese students who complete their PhD at the University of Auckland.
The scholarships provide financial support to up to 10 Chinese students each year to undertake a doctoral degree in New Zealand.
Top Chinese students are encouraged to apply for PhD scholarships to undertake doctoral studies in New Zealand in the field of non-communicable diseases.

These Scholarships were established by the University of Auckland Council in 1995 and are intended to encourage and facilitate study for approved postgraduate degrees at The University of Auckland by candidates already selected to hold Fulbright Awards As a Fulbright Award fully supports a candidate for the first year these Scholarships are intended to enable Fulbright Award winners to complete degrees at the University of Auckland

The University of Auckland Commonwealth Scholarships
Following the withdrawal of funding by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for Commonwealth Scholars from developed countries in 1998 the University of Auckland agreed to provide funding for one new Scholarship per year for candidates from Canada and the United Kingdom It is expected that this arrangement will be reciprocal These Regulations are to be read in conjunction with the Universities New Zealand “Rules and Regulations for Scholars from Australia Canada and the United Kingdom”
Van-Thanh Nguyen Postgraduate Engineering Scholarship
The VanThanh Nguyen PhD Engineering Scholarship was established in 2009 by VanThanh Nguyen a former Colombo Plan student at the Faculty of Engineering to assist citizens of Vietnam to study postgraduate Engineering at the University of Auckland
