The International Office works with the following external scholarship agencies and government bodies to provide opportunities for international students who meet admission entry criteria.

Canada

Canadian student loans
The University of Auckland participates in the Canadian Federal and Provincial Student Loan programmes. Our Institution Code is VUAB.

Chile

Chilean CONICYT Scholarships
These scholarships are open to students from the Republic of Chile who intended to undertake a masters or PhD programme at the University of Auckland.

China

China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarships
A scholarship programme developed with the China Scholarship Council for Chinese students who complete their PhD at the University of Auckland.

New Zealand – China NCD Collaborative Research Centre PhD Scholarship
Top Chinese students are encouraged to apply for PhD scholarships to undertake doctoral studies in New Zealand in the field of non-communicable diseases.

Colombia

COLFUTURO
A loan/scholarship for Colombian students who intend to undertake a masters or PhD programme.

ICETEX
A loan for Colombian students who intend to pursue higher studies.

Germany

German Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Scholarships
The DAAD funds further academic qualifications of outstanding German undergraduate and postgraduate students, young academics and researchers.

India

University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship

Up to $20,000 towards tuition fees for new international students from India enrolling full-time in undergraduate degrees, PGDip or masters degrees.

Indonesia

Lembada Pengelola Dana Pendidkan (LPDP)
A regional fund management institution under the Indonesian government's Ministry of Finance that focuses on developing the quality of human resources in various fields that support the acceleration of Indonesia's development.

Malaysia

MARA Scholarship

Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) is an agency of the Malaysian Ministry of Rural and Regional Development that promotes, stimulates, facilitates and undertakes economic and social development.

Petronas Education Sponsorship Programme

Application for the Petronas Education Sponsorship Programme (PESP) is open to outstanding Malaysian students to pursue undergraduate studies in oil and gas related fields.

Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) Scholarship

Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) is the Public Service Department of Malaysia. Scholarships are given to pre-university students who wish to continue with their first degree.

Malaysia Ministry of Education

The Ministry of Education (Kementerian Pendidikan), abbreviated MOE, is a ministry of the Government of Malaysia that is responsible for the education system.

Mexico

Conacyt
A reciprocal agreement with Mexican state funding agency Conacyt to provide scholarship funding for Mexican students.

FIDERH
Fund for Development of Human Resources is a federal trust managed by the Central Bank of Mexico which offer affordable loans to Mexican students to finance their graduate studies, either in Mexico or abroad.

Thailand

Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC)
The central agency in charge of advising the public sector in managing human resource and protecting merit system practices of the civil service.

Tonga

Arthington Davy Scholarship
A scholarship for postgraduate study and research in areas which will likely contribute significantly to the development of Tonga.

United States of America

University of Auckland Fulbright Scholarships
These scholarships enable American Fulbright Award winners to complete degrees at the University of Auckland.
