Programme overview
Strengthen your knowledge and expertise in relational, inclusive, and rights-based pedagogies and curriculum that are responsive to children, families, and communities.
You will draw on the research-based knowledge and extensive practical experience of staff across the School of Education and Social Practice within the Faculty of Arts and Education.
This cohesive and well-structured programme includes a mix of practicum in-centre days and practicum block placements in early childhood centres, along with on-campus taught courses.
Programme structure

Duration: Full-time 18 months; Part-time varies
Drawing on the expert knowledge and extensive pedagogical and practical experience of staff across the School of Education and Social Practice in the Faculty of Arts and Education, this programme includes 11 core courses (including two practicum courses). Students will progress through the programme as a cohort, enabling a cohort-based learning and teaching approach.
The programme will be taught across three semesters (Summer School, Semester One and Semester Two) with courses deliberately scheduled at set times in the academic year to ensure a cohesive and well-structured learning progression. The use of block-course delivery as well as staggered course start and finish dates within a semester will ensure a manageable workload.
