Postgraduate Certificate in Stroke Care (PGCertStrokeCare)
This interprofessional qualification enables specialisation in the care of people with stroke, from pre-hospital care to returning to the community.
Programme overview
Students who complete the PGCertStrokeCare will have:
- The ability to apply contemporary theory and practice of interprofessional stroke care at all stages of the patient journey
- Learning experiences in applying guidelines and knowledge to find culturally safe and practical responses to real-life challenges faced by people with stroke and their whānau
- An understanding of the factors underlying inequities in patient experience and outcomes of stroke care
