Strengthen your academic journey in Maths and Science while building confidence, community, and clarity about your future.
Whether you're aiming for NCEA success or exploring university pathways, Pacific Academy is designed to support you every step of the way.
From high school to university - make the transition strong
Pacific Academy is open to tauira Māori and Pacific students in Year 12 and Year 13 who are enrolled in NCEA Maths and Science externals.
If you're looking for support in Maths, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, or Biology, this is the place to be.
We offer ako sessions during the school holidays to help you prepare for exams, alongside mentoring that helps you advocate for yourself and grow as a learner.
What makes Pacific Academy special?
We're more than just a space to do your homework. Pacific Academy offers tutoring alongside mentoring and guidance for what's to come after highschool. All of this is delivered by a diverse team of:
- Experienced teachers
- Pre-service teachers from our graduate programme
- University students and alumni working in industry
Sessions are guided by pre-prepared resources, and every week you’ll receive a copy of key materials and notices.
It’s a reciprocal learning environment where mentors and students grow together.
Where you can find us and when
Pacific Academy kicks off in Term 3, aligning with the lead-up to NCEA externals. Sessions run regularly during the term and intensify during the school holiday ako sessions.
You can attend sessions at:
- Te Papa Ako o Tai Tonga (University of Auckland South Campus, Manukau)
- St Peter’s College, Epsom
- Avondale College, Avondale
You’re welcome to attend multiple locations, but we recommend choosing the one closest to you. There are also resources available for students outside of Auckland - get in touch to learn more.
