The role of the Manutaki Pūmanawa Tangata, Director of Human Resources
The Director of Human Resources (HR) oversees all aspects of the University’s HR functions, including recruitment, employee development and training, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and health, safety and wellbeing. The role ensures that HR policies align with the University’s strategic goals and comply with legal requirements.
Andrew Phipps
Andrew has been Director of Human Resources since 2013, having previously served as Deputy Director HR from 2007. He holds a Master of Social Science (Hons) in Industrial and Organsational Psychology.
