The Equity Office annual reports summarise the successes and challenges of the year in terms of key equity objectives and outcomes.

Equity Profile

Compiled for the Equity Office by the Statistical Consulting Centre, these reports present statistics on staff and student participation and achievement in the University.

Equity strategic reviews

Our strategic reviews take an in-depth look at how the University meets the needs of specific groups of students and staff. This research forms the basis for our recommendations, policies and guidelines.

Inclusive teaching and learning review (2009)

“Creating an inclusive teaching and learning environment for students with impairments” was a review initiated to create awareness about, and assess perceptions of, inclusive teaching and learning practices within our University.

Equity groups review (2009)

This review identified equity groups at the University of Auckland and guided programme development.

Undergraduate Admissions and Equity Taskforce review (2008)

In December 2007 the University Council established a taskforce to consider the equity implications of extending limited entry to all undergraduate qualifications from 2009. The taskforce reported in March 2008. Its report was endorsed by Senate and adopted by Council.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) centres review (2008)

Our ECE review investigated how well our early childhood education centres meet the needs of staff members combining parenting and a career.

The ECE Reference Group advises the Vice-Chancellor on the provision of early childhood education centres at the University. Terms of reference, membership and minutes of their meetings can be accessed here
