Covid-19 information for our community

Thursday 17 August 2023

The Government has confirmed that, effective from 12.01am on Tuesday 15 August, all remaining Covid-19 public health requirements have been removed. This means there are no longer any Covid-related restrictions that apply to Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.

However, Covid-19 is still circulating in our communities, along with various winter respiratory illnesses. So, we encourage you to remain vigilant and to stay at home if you feel unwell (the Ministry of Health recommendation is to stay at home for five days if you have Covid-19) and continue to pay attention to hand hygiene.

Face masks are still required in University Health and Counselling Services. While not required elsewhere on campus, face masks still provide effective protection against respiratory illnesses.

A reminder too that Covid, flu and other vaccines are available to staff and students at the Campus Pharmacy.
