EBSCOhost databases have a new look

Monday 7 July: EBSCOhost – which hosts databases including Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, CINAHL and EconLit – has been updated with a modern design, improved search tools, better accessibility and a personalised dashboard that replaces the old folders.

Call for expressions of interest for an appointment to Council

Friday 4 July: The closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm on Friday 25 July 2025.

UBIQ bookstore in liquidation

Thursday 3 July: The University has been notified that the independently owned and operated bookstore on City Campus has been put into liquidation. It is expected to remain open for the start of Semester Two.

Library resource platform changes

Wednesday 18 June: Te Tumu Herenga, Libraries and Learning Services has shifted the student support resources QuickCite and ELE Online onto new platforms.

Acting deans appointed for Law, and Business & Economics

Thursday 12 June: The University has confirmed two acting dean appointments to support the next phase of collaborative work between the faculties of Law, and Business & Economics. These appointments take effect from 1 July 2025.

Update on the proposal for the faculties of Business & Economics, and Law

Updated 5 June: Following a wide-ranging engagement process, the University has made the decision to pause the proposal to combine the faculties of Business & Economics, and Law.

2025 influenza vaccination for staff and students

Updated Friday 30 May: All students currently enrolled at the University and all staff on a permanent or fixed term contract are eligible for a free influenza vaccination.
