Fire in Law building, everyone out safely

Level 2 of Building 810 will remain closed until further notice, as further assessment and remedial work are required.

The rest of Building 810 will reopen on Monday (16 March).

This means any classes, workshops, seminars, or events scheduled to take place on Level 2 will need to move to an alternative location or format. Staff will confirm arrangements to students impacted through Canvas.

Canvas will have the most up-to-date information about any changes to teaching or events originally planned in this location.

If you do not have activities scheduled in Building 810, no action is required.

There was a fire in afternoon in Building 810 (Auckland Law School). Everyone was safely evacuated, the cause of the fire is not suspicious.

Building air tests are to be carried out before occupants can return to other parts of the building.
