Fire in Law building, everyone out safely

There has been a fire this afternoon in Building 810 (Auckland Law School). Everyone was safely evacuated, the cause of the fire is not suspicious.

At this time, we understand that the fire started in the ceiling on level two. The fire crews and police are still on site.

Staff are contacting students with classes based there.

Level two will not be habitable for some time. Building air tests will be required before occupants can return to other parts of the building.
