Is it possible to move in early?

For students who have been offered accommodation starting in February:
Once your place has been confirmed, you’re welcome to contact your residential team to enquire about moving in early – but we can’t guarantee this will be possible for all residences.

In the instance where you’re not able to move into your residence early, we may be able to assist you with summer accommodation in an alternative residence.

For more information see summer accommodation.

For students who have been offered accommodation starting in Semester Two:
Because our Semester One residents move out a day before our Semester Two residential period starts, we can’t guarantee that you will be able to move into your residence early.

We can assist you with finding temporary accommodation to ensure you have a place to stay before you move into your semester residence.

What happens if I want to move out early?
When you accept your place in residence, you’re agreeing to live there for the full residential period stated on your residential agreement. You will be charged for the full period stated, regardless of if you move out a few days earlier.

If you’re thinking about leaving before the end of your residential agreement, you will need to discuss this with your resident manager as there may be penalties for breaking your agreement early.
