A postgraduate research visit is when a postgraduate research student who is enrolled at one institution visits another university for research purposes. These visits are usually between 1-3 months, but may be longer in some cases.

When you come to the University of Auckland for this type of visit, it is usually a non-credit bearing opportunity. You won’t be enrolled as a student at the University of Auckland, but will remain enrolled at your home institution. Your thesis supervision will remain the responsibility of your existing supervisors.
