Our courses emphasise topical issues such as human rights, international terrorism and security, diplomacy, multicultural identity, political marketing, leadership, and politics and the media. Wherever possible, we encourage you to undertake supervised research.

Entry requirements

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics and International Relations

A BA with a major in Political Studies or Politics and International Relations. You must have an average grade of B or higher in 45 points above Stage II in the major.

Master of Arts in Politics and International Relations

120-point (one-year) MA

A BA(Hons) or PGDipArts in Political Studies or Politics and International Relations with an average grade of B or higher. There are higher requirements for some research options.

240-point (two-year) MA

A BA with a major in Political Studies or Politics and International Relations. You must have an average grade of B or higher in at least 45 points above Stage II in the major.
