Summer School Fee Waiver Overview 2026

Domestic students who began their Bachelors degree in 2025 and received a failing grade (D+, D, D-, or F) in Semester Two may repeat one failed 15-point course free of charge during Summer School 2026, if the course is offered.

The fee waiver covers tuition and the Compulsory Student Services Fee

Eligibility criteria

To qualify for this offer, you must meet all the following conditions:

  • You are a domestic student. For our definition of what a domestic student is, please see Domestic or international status
  • You have passed at least half of the points you were enrolled in across Semester One and Semester Two 2025.
  • You have attempted and failed an eligible course only once (withdrawals and late deletions do not count).
  • You have taken no more than 30 points of Formal Award study prior to 2025 (e.g., Young Scholars, TFC Plus Pathway, excluding withdrawals).

You may only repeat one 15-point course under this offer. If enrolled in multiple eligible courses, the waiver will apply to the course with the highest tuition fees.

If you pay your fees (either directly or through StudyLink) before the waiver is applied, then you will receive a credit in your account, or the amount will be refunded to StudyLink.

Accepting the offer

Eligible students will be contacted in December, once Semester Two results are available.

If you are eligible, we will inform you which course you can repeat. If you have more than one eligible course, please note that only one can be selected for a cost waiver.

To accept, enrol in an eligible course for Summer School 2026. If you have already enrolled in an eligible course for Summer School, then there is nothing further you need to do.

Enrolment is not guaranteed, so act quickly to secure your place.
