LGBTI support at the University of Auckland
The University offers a range of initiatives aimed at providing support for LGBTI students. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) students and staff.
The University’s club for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, takataapui, fa'afafine, and queer students. UniQ Auckland focuses mainly on regular events where queer students can socialise together and make new friends. They also get involved in working towards equality for queer students by talking to the university and getting involved in the occasional political campaign.

An Auckland-based organisation providing support, contact, information, advocacy and education for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, takataapui and fa'afafine young people and their families/whanau. They provide support in the form of youth groups and a wide network of professional support, advocacy and resources.
