Entry requirements and prerequisites
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Master of Commerce (180 points)
An applicant must have: a) completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce, or a relevant Bachelors degree from this University with a Grade Point Average of 5.0 or higher, and passed the prerequisites for the subject in which they intend to enrol, or have equivalent prior study; or b) completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce, or a relevant Bachelors degree from this University with a Grade Point Average of 5.0 or higher in 60 points above Stage II and passed the prerequisites for the subject in which they intend to enrol.
Prerequisites for Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Master of Commerce (180 points)
A major in Finance including MATHS 208 or STATS 208 or ECON221, or an equivalent course as approved by the Head of Department.
Master of Commerce (120 points)
An applicant intending to complete must have completed the requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce from this University in the subject intended for this degree with a Grade Point Average of 5.0 or higher, or have equivalent prior study.
Master of Applied Finance
You can also study Finance through the Master of Applied Finance (MAppFin), if you have a bachelors or honours degree in business, or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, health sciences, social sciences, science or technology, with a GPA/GPE of 5.0 or higher in 90 points of the most advanced courses. In addition, you must have passed an undergraduate level course in business statistics (STATS 108), general mathematics (MATHS 108) or equivalent.

Further study option
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is available as a further study option for the Master of Commerce and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), but not for the Master of Applied Finance.
