Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering (PGDipCivilEng)

A postgraduate programme for the civil engineers who will design and build our urban environments.

Programme overview

Civil engineers are responsible for the design and construction of our urban environments. This includes infrastructure like buildings, transportation systems, water and wastewater facilities, ports, bridges and more. The Postgraduate Diploma in Civil Engineering (PGDipCivilEng) will teach you discipline-specific knowledge to help you build this infrastructure and improve people’s standard of living.

The PGDipCivilEng is for those who aspire to a career in civil engineering and its associated sub-disciplines. The degree will help you develop the knowledge, skills and competencies you’ll need to design and construct the physical infrastructure of the future. It can also open job opportunities in the academic sector. This one-year programme will focus on upskilling students and honing those skills for employment or further research.

There’s a major demand for civil engineers in Aotearoa New Zealand and across the world because they have the skills we need to build a more sustainable society. Reach out to learn more about where the PGDipCivilEng can take you.

This programme is subject to final regulatory approval and is therefore subject to change.
