Entry-level/ first-year scholarships

Entry-level scholarships and awards range in value from one-off payments of up to $5000 to scholarships that pay for your tuition fees and $2500 living costs for up to three years.

If you are a new student enrolling at the University of Auckland then regardless of your background or where you live, you may be eligible for a scholarship. Categories for school leavers include academic excellence, Māori and Pacific students, anyone experiencing financial hardship and an ability to succeed at university.

Many of our faculties also offer scholarships for school-leavers who are entering the University from specific backgrounds and for new students embarking on a particular course of study.

There are also scholarships for those enrolling at the University for the first time, but not straight out of school.
