A Scholarship of up to $33,000pa plus compulsory fees for up to 36 months to support an international or domestic student enrolled full-time in a PhD in Architecture.

Zonta South Auckland Study Awards

An award of up to $5,000 is offered to a woman aged 25 to 45 to undertake a course of study towards a professional or vocational qualification of any sort. The award is intended to primarily target a woman who is hoping to begin or to complete a course of study which she was unable to undertake immediately after leaving school.

To be eligible you must live in the region bounded by the Tamaki Estuary in the north and around Pokeno in the south, excluding East Manukau, and be able to provide proof of residence upon request.

ACSPRI Fellowship Program

PhD candidates at ACSPRI Member Institutions are invited to apply for the 2024-25 ACSPRI Fellowship Program. Valued at $25,000, the fellowship will help PhD students to achieve their career goals, by providing direct financial support and professional development opportunities. Fellowship holders will receive an annual bursary for two years and financial support to participate in ACSPRI courses and events.

The Freemasons University Scholarships

All faculties

The Freemasons Scholarships are to assist able students who are actively involved in their community, to complete their university education in their chosen field. The scholarships are provided annually, funded and administered by The Freemasons Charity.

For 2024 there will be eight Postgraduate Scholarships of up to $10,000 each, and twenty University Scholarships of up to $6,000 each.

GCSB Women in STEM Scholarship

Business School, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science

The GCSB Women in STEM scholarship is aimed at second year tertiary students and above (including Honours and Masters) who are intending to take a full-time course of study in computer science, cyber security, technology, mathematics, computer engineering and/or data science at any New Zealand tertiary institution.

Four scholarships of up to $10,000 each are available.

Henry Kelsey Scholarship

Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funds for New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents to undertake research towards a Masters or Doctoral degree at a New Zealand university or research institution, studying muscular function, including - but not limited to - the causes and treatment of muscular dysfunction.

Up to $15,000 per annum for up to two years for Masters study and three years for Doctoral study.

AWLA Writing Prize 2023

The Auckland Women Lawyers Association is proud to announce that it now taking entries for its 2023 Writing Prize. This prize aims to foster and reward research and writing on the intersection of the law and issues of concern to women and/or women and children. All law students (including LLB, LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD) at the University of Auckland are eligible.

To apply, you must submit one 3,000 word essay on the intersection of the law and issues of concern to women and/or women and children, which complies with the New Zealand Law Style Guide.

The Patrick Shannon Scholarship

The Livestock Improvement Patrick Shannon Scholarship Programme is named after one of the most remarkable and innovative bovine geneticists and reproductive biologists in the world. Dr Shannon joined Livestock Improvement in the mid-1950s, and made a variety of world-breaking discoveries, which continue to provide vitality and profitability to the New Zealand dairy industry.
