Here at the University of Auckland International Office we are getting ready to make sure our international students can enjoy a great Kiwi summer.
ENZ Great Kiwi Summer
Education New Zealand (ENZ) has put together information at NauMai NZ about what’s on offer for international students in New Zealand over summer. You can find out how to explore, travel, make friends, study, develop new skills and stay active and connected during your break.
Study Auckland has launched BeKiwi - a brand new platform to help international students connect with New Zealand's culture, people and unique way of life through experiential learning and travel experiences.
Explore Aotearoa and discover a huge variety of top quality destination experiences where you will have fun (by yourself or with friends) and gain valuable skills for your future!
Summer Start International
Summer Start International runs from 5 January to 17 February 2021 for onshore international students to experience life on campus, get a head start on your degree, and explore Auckland City. We offer a comprehensive programme of co-curricular activities at no extra cost.
Summer School online
We also have a range of Summer School courses available for students who are overseas and studying online. Explore the list of online courses for students overseas.
Do you want to gain real world industry experience with a leading New Zealand business? Start your story in New Zealand with a University of Auckland microinternship this summer.
In this three week internship you'll work in a team of five students collaborating with an Auckland organisation to tackle a real-world business challenge.

Summer Lab is a four-week experience running from 25 January to 19 February 2021 that is designed to ignite the entrepreneur within, and is free for all current students and staff of the University of Auckland.
No prior experience with innovation, entrepreneurship or business is required and you don’t need to already have a venture idea to participate. Places are limited and applications close on 2 November 2020.
Doctoral summer series 2021
The doctoral summer series is made up of fun (and completely free!) activities for doctoral candidates run by support services across the University.
If you’re a doctoral candidate looking to connect over the summer then sign up for their events in January.

The University will be closed on Thursday 24 December 2020 and re-open on Tuesday 5 January 2021, however the International Student Support team is available over the summer holidays and you can contact us by phone or email if you need help with anything during that time.
