Master of Business Analytics (MBusAn)
This 180-point masters programme will prepare students from business, engineering, social sciences, sciences or technology backgrounds for careers as business analytics professionals.
Grow the knowledge and skills needed to get work-ready as business analytics professionals working in analytical consultancy and management roles in local and global business.
This practice-focused programme will equip you to interrogate business challenges and then source, manipulate and analyse data to address issues and inform organisational strategies.
You will also develop a strong portfolio of professional skills that will enable you to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience through the use of data visualisation tools and storytelling.
The programme will launch in 2021 with the Marketing specialisation. The specialisation will provide the opportunity for you to develop and apply analytical techniques and engage in an industry-based project that will provide experience in responding to the challenges of working in a live business context with real data.

Taught 180 points
You must have completed a bachelors or honours degree in business or a non-business degree in a relevant discipline, such as engineering, social sciences, sciences or technology . Your study must have been at a recognised university (or similar institution), and you will need a GPA/GPE of 5.0 or higher in 90 points of the most advanced courses of the bachelors programme, or over the entire honours programme. In addition, you must have passed an undergraduate level course in business statistics or equivalent.
This programme can be studied full-time or part-time and is open to both international and domestic students.
International applicants must also have evidence of English language proficiency such as IELTS (score of 6.5, and no bands below 6.0) or equivalent.
Enquiries and applications
The Master of Business Analytics will be offered for the first time in Quarter Two, 2021. The application closing date is 1 February 2021 for international applicants and 1 March 2021 for domestic applicants.
