How to apply for the Kōkiri Raumati | Summer Programmes
An application guide on how to apply for Summer Start, Tōia ki Waipapa or UniBound.
How to apply
To begin, click Apply, to be taken to the Admission to Study page.
If you have started or completed an application for Undergraduate studies already, click on Continue your Application. If this is your first application, click Apply Now.
If you are a new student, you will need to register for an account. Don’t forget your password as you will need this to log back in. If you forget your details, you can contact us on 0800 61 62 63.
Once your account is created, or once you have logged into your existing account, you will be able to continue with your application.
You’ll be asked to enter your academic history. Select your school and the qualifications you are studying (ie, IB, CIE, NCEA or other qualification). Make sure this includes all school qualifications. If you are still completing Year 13 qualifications, note these as in progress.
Next step, select your programme. For Summer Start, Tōia ki Waipapa and UniBound this will be Certificate, and you will then select Certificate of Proficiency.
For the major/specialisation, this will be the Kōkiri Raumati, Summer Programme you would like to be a part of, Summer Start, UniBound or Tōia ki Waipapa (taught under Summer Start in 2027).
You will begin your studies in 2027 Summer School, and the term will also be 2027 Summer School. The Kōkiri Raumati, Summer Programmes will be taught on the City Campus.
Note if you have been awarded any scholarships that will cover your University of Auckland tuition fees.
Select the Certificate of Proficiency course that you would like to study in 2027.
- UniBound students will complete one course from ARTSGEN 104, CHEM 150, STATS 101 or 108
- Tōia ki Waipapa Tauira will be able to choose a course from the 2027 Summer Start Course List (specific entrance requirements may apply for some courses)
- Summer Start students can choose from the 2027 Summer Start Course List (specific entrance requirements may apply for some courses)

Review your application, checking that the programme details and start date are correct. Read and complete the declaration and submit your application.
Next steps:
Completing an Application is the first step to register your interest in the programme or course.
Once your application has been received, our Admissions team will review your application and send out any offers to you so you can enrol into your chosen course if you are eligible. They will also let you know if you need to provide more information such as your ID documents in order to be able to enrol.
When you receive this offer to enrol, log back in to enrol into your chosen course, create your timetable and confirm your enrolment to study in the Kōkiri Raumati, Summer Programmes for 2027.
Scholarships
All Kōkiri Raumati Programme applications received before the 8 December 2026 will be able to be considered for the Kōkiri Raumati Scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required.
