New member online orientation
Everyone must complete a quick online orientation before participating in the in-person training sessions. Following in-person equipment training, you are free to use that equipment whenever you like during our maker space open hours!
AI training

Are you using ChatGPT and other AI tools to their full potential? Learn what AI is capable of, how it works, its limitations and how you can put it to best use.
An interactive session in which you will use prompts to create an image in Midjourney, experience how AI learns and touch on some of the ethical concerns.

Virtual reality training

Come and experience VR for free! VR can replicate the real world or create out-of-this-world experiences. Find out what other innovations it can be used for with this in-person experience.

3D printer training

Knowing how to use a 3D printer allows you to create models and prototypes quickly and easily. There are multiple 3D printers available for you to use in our maker space once you know how.

Laser cutter training

Using laser technology, learn how to cut out designs or engrave materials such as acrylic and wood. Popular with aspiring jewellery makers, the laser cutter is capable of creating intricate designs.

5G is fifth-generation cellular communication technology, revolutionising network latency and bandwidth. You will be provided with an in-person walkthrough of 5G technology including practical demonstrations. The goal is for you to understand what 5G is, how it works and how it compares to other technologies.
