By studying Law, you will arm yourself with a skill set that meets the high demands of many careers, inside and outside of the legal profession.
Combining Law with Communication, you will learn how to analyse ideas and issues raised in your studies and effectively communicate these concepts and solutions to others.
The BC/LLB(Hons) takes 5 years (10 semesters) if you are studying full-time. You will need to complete 675 points:

In your first year you will need to complete three Stage I core LLB courses, and five Stage I courses from the BC. You will continue to take a mix of Law courses and Communication courses in each of your second, third, fourth and fifth years.

Communication and Technology
You will have the choice of a wide range of Law elective courses, including Corporate and Commercial, Public, Criminal, International, Family, and Environmental Law.
To complete the full programme within five years, you will need to enrol in 135 points per year, which exceeds the standard full-time enrolment of 120 points per year. Alternatively, you may choose to enrol in 120 points per year over five years, followed by an additional semester of 75 points, enabling completion of the programme in five and a half years (11 semesters).
You need to maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.5 each year to continue with your conjoint.
Most students need to take one General Education course.
Students should also be aware of the University’s Academic English Language Requirement.

Fees are inclusive of 15% GST, but do not include the Student Services Fee, course books, travel and health insurance, or living costs. Amounts shown are indicative only. In addition to the tuition fees, there is a Student Services Fee of $9.44 per point, estimated at $6,938.40 for full-time study (735 points). Fees will be confirmed upon completion of enrolment into courses.

BC/LLB(Hons) graduates are well-positioned for a wide range of careers. In addition to the transferable skills and knowledge you will gain, honours graduates will have acquired desirable skills in advanced research and writing, and a well-respected advanced qualification.

Becoming a barrister and solicitor
To be admitted as a barrister and solicitor you will need complete a three-month Professional Legal Studies course after completing the LLB or LLB(Hons). There are currently two providers of this course:
