Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Global Studies
With a BE(Hons)/BGlobalSt conjoint you can blend the theory and practice of Engineering with the study of global issues to make your contribution to an economically, environmentally and culturally sustainable future. You will develop skills for employment such as leadership, teamwork, public speaking, critical thinking, research and intercultural communication.
A total of 675 points comprising 405 points from Bachelor of the Engineering (Honours) courses, 255 points from Bachelor of Global Studies courses, and 15 points from the General Education schedules.
Guaranteed entry requirements
- NCEA – 275 with 17 external Level 3 credits in Calculus, 16 external Level 3 credits in Physics, and a minimum of 16 credits in one additional subject from Table A and/or Table B and/or the following languages: Chinese, Cook Island Maori, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Samoan, Spanish, Tongan
- CIE – 330 with Mathematics and Physics at A Level and one additional subject from Table A and/or Table B and/or the following languages: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish
- IB – 36 with Mathematics and Physics at HL Levels

Fees – 2018
Estimated annual tuition fees for domestic students 2018: NZ$6750–NZ$11,389.95. Course fees relate to the actual courses you are taking, but should be within this range. Fees per point will be charged at the rate set for that subject irrespective of the qualification the course is taken for.
In addition to tuition fees, you will also pay a Student Services fee. In 2018, if you are enrolled in 135 points, you will pay a fee of $915.30.
