Bachelor of Global Studies/Bachelor of Laws (Honours)

With a BGlobalSt/LLB(Hons) conjoint you can complement your legal skills and knowledge with the study of global issues to take on the challenges of global politics, law and human security. You will develop skills for employment such as leadership, teamwork, public speaking, critical thinking, research and intercultural communication.

If you gain a B+ average or higher across all your Law courses at the completion of LLB Part II, you will be invited to transfer to the LLB(Hons) programme. You can then enrol in one additional semester, to complete an extra seminar course and a dissertation.

Programme structure

A total of 720 points comprising 255 points from Bachelor of Global Studies courses, 450 from Bachelor of Laws courses and 15 points from the General Education schedules.

Estimated annual tuition fees for domestic students 2018: NZ$6,750–NZ$11,146.95.

Course fees relate to the actual courses you are taking, but should be within this range. Fees per point will be charged at the rate set for that subject irrespective of the qualification the course is taken for.

In addition to tuition fees, you will also pay a Student Services fee. In 2018, if you are enrolled in 135 points, you will pay a fee of $915.30.
