Promotion

Planning tips:

  • Confirm your target audience and attendance capacity before promoting
  • Ensure all event details - date, time, location, access - are final and approved
  • Align promotion timing with confirmed approvals and risk requirements
  • Select appropriate promotion channels based on audience and event type
  • Choose a registration method that supports attendance management and capacity limits
  • Ensure all materials meet University branding and communication standards
  • Monitor registrations and adjust promotion to manage attendance levels

Effective promotion is critical to ensuring appropriate attendance, audience engagement and a well-managed event experience.

Promotion

All promotional activity must be accurate, appropriate, and aligned with university expectations and policies. Promotion channels may include internal communications like Campus Kōrero, using organic social media and approved external channels, depending on the nature of the event.
