Located just a five-minute walk from the University General Library on the City Campus, Te Tirohanga opened for the first time in 2020.
About the residence

The name Te Tirohanga o te Tōangaroa was gifted to the University by Ngāti Whātua and translates to "The view of Tōangaroa" now known as Mechanics Bay, owing to its beautiful views of the surrounding harbour.
Te Tirohanga offers a new style of affordable student accommodation with rooms designed to maximise on storage space, and modern, spacious communal living levels which allows students to interact with neighbours and make friendships that last a lifetime.
The Accommodation management team provide personal support throughout your stay and arrange social and recreational activities during the year. Our Resident Advisers live on site to ensure you have a duty person available 24 hours a day.
The UniLodge building management team is available during office hours.

* The semester one residential period is only available to those students coming to study for semester one only.
- Each room is furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk, and chair.
- You will need to provide your own linen and towels, however a linen pack can be purchased from the residence prior to your arrival.
- Electricity, water, and University WiFi is included.
