Waipārūrū Hall

In 2020 Waipārūrū Hall will open its doors for the first time as the largest catered school leaver hall in New Zealand.

About the hall

Waipārūrū Hall opens in time for the 2020 academic year. This exciting new residence will be home to 786 residents across two towers, making it our largest offering for school leavers.

Waipārūrū is our first residence to offer a new catering style with multiple food serving stations offering a variety of food from different cuisines. Residents also enjoy generous communal facilities including study spaces as well as games and recreation space.

The Hall is located at the end of Whitaker Place, just 5 minutes’ walk from the heart of the City Campus.

The accommodation management team and Resident Advisers arrange social and recreational events along with academic mentoring and study support sessions throughout the year to help you make friends and settle into student life.

The Resident Manager and Resident Advisers will live on site, ensuring there is a duty person available 24 hours a day.
