Peter Frawley

Peter is a Policy Manager in the Policy and Regulatory Stewardship division of IRD, which advises the Government on all aspects of tax and social policy.

Peter has been working in tax policy for over 33 years, and has run the gamut of tax policy including international, business tax, personal tax and social policy.  He is currently responsible for the drafting of tax legislation, aspects of business tax policy, and managing the remedial amendments process. 

Peter obtained his own Master of Taxation Studies in 1998, which included a dissertation on proposals for the reform of the associated persons definitions in the Income Tax Act.
