Course description

The first semester of this course will cover a range of criminal law issues examined through the medium of case law, statute, academic and media commentary and documentary film and television and from a variety of perspectives.

The second semester will consist of student presentations of their research into a variety of different topics relevant to criminal law and policy.

Assessment

Class participation 15% 
Oral presentation of the student's written paper 15% 
Written seminar paper 70%
