Legal Theory and Practical Law - NZCLPT Annual 'Theory Matters' Lecture 2022

The NZ Centre for Legal and Political Theory is delighted to be resuming our annual ‘Theory Matters’ Lecture, to be delivered on Thursday 15 September 2022 by the Rt Hon Dame Sian Elias, former Chief Justice of New Zealand.

Dame Sian will be speaking on the topic, Legal Theory and Practical Law - The reflections of a common lawyer and former judge on the uses, abuses, and absences of legal theory on law in action in New Zealand.
