Third-Time Repeat Guidelines
If you wish to enrol in the same course for a third time, you must apply for permission.
You can enrol in a course for a second time through Student Services Online without special approval.
Important notes
- You must pay normal course fees when repeating a course.
- Passing a course on a second or third attempt does not remove any previous fail or DNS grade.
- You cannot re-enrol in a course you have already passed, except in exceptional circumstances (e.g., Certificate of Proficiency, and the course cannot count toward any other programme).
- Apply at least two weeks before the semester begins; late applications may not be processed in time.
- Approval is not guaranteed—provide detailed reasons to support your application.
- If approved, your enrolment may be limited to:
45 points in that semester, or
15 points for Summer School.
An interview with the Faculty is required after submitting your application. You will be contacted to arrange this.
Application process
- Complete the Third-Time Repeat Application Form.
- Your form will be sent to the Faculty of Law for review.
- You will be contacted for an interview.
- The Associate Dean (Academic Programmes) will consider your application.
- You will be notified of the decision by email.
