A G Davis Scholarship in Law
The A G Davis Scholarship in law contributes to the support of a full-time University of Auckland undergraduate Law student who has shown academic excellence.
Brookfields Lawyers Scholarship
The main purpose of the Brookfields Lawyers Scholarship is to assist a Law student who has completed LLB Part II. Selection is based on academic merit, all-round ability, and the demonstrated capacity to excel in the practice of Law.
David R Mummery Memorial Scholarship in Law
Open to undergraduate students in LLB Part II. Selection is based on academic merit, leadership qualities/potential, communication skills and demonstrable financial hardship.
Auckland Law School Entry Level Scholarships
The main purpose of the Auckland Law School Entry Level Scholarships is to encourage high-achieving school leavers to pursue law studies at the University of Auckland.
The Scholarship will be awarded to a candidate who is enrolled full-time and has paid/arranged to pay the fees for study in Part I at the Auckland Law School.
Selection is based on academic merit from Year 12 examinations and anticipated Year 13 results from a New Zealand secondary school that submits a confidential reference in support of the application.
Number of awards offered
Up to 10 per year.
Tenure of award
Up to two years.
Closing date for applications
15 October each year.
Decision-makers
The Scholarships will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising:
- Dean of the Auckland Law School (or nominee)
- Associate Dean of the Auckland Law School (or nominee)
- Student Adviser of the Auckland Law School (or nominee)
Marylyn Eve Mayo Endowment Scholarship
The main purpose of the Marylyn Eve Mayo Endowment Scholarship is to enable academically able students who are demonstrably suffering financial hardship to continue their undergraduate law studies in Part III at the University of Auckland.
The Scholarship will be awarded to a candidate who is enrolled full-time and has paid/arranged to pay the fees for study in Part III at the Auckland Law School. The basis of selection will be academic merit and demonstrable financial hardship.
Number of awards offered
1 per year.
Tenure of award
One year.
Closing date for applications
15 April each year.

Decision-makers
The Scholarships will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a Selection Committee comprising:
- Dean of the Faculty of Law (or nominee)
- Two Senior Staff members of the Department of Law (appointed by the Dean)
University of Auckland Partnership Appeal Awards
The University of Auckland Partnership Appeal Awards assist students who have demonstrated the ability to succeed but are experiencing financial hardship in their final year of study.
Applicants must be:
- New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand
- in their final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme
The basis of selection will be academic achievement and financial need.
Number of awards offered
Varies.
Tenure of award
Up to one year.
Closing date for applications
30 April and 1 August each year.

The New Zealand Pacific Scholarships recognise the very clos personal, cultural and economic ties that New Zealand enjoys with Pacific countries. A particular focus of the scheme is to increase the number of young students and high achievers studying in New Zealand and to build a new generation of Pacific Leadership with strong links to New Zealand.

Postgraduate Scholarships
University of Auckland Masters/Honours/PGDip Scholarship
The University of Auckland Masters/Honours/PGDip Scholarship assists and encourages students to pursue Honours, Masters and PGDip courses at the University of Auckland. These scholarships are available to New Zealand citizens and/or Permanent Residents of New Zealand.
The basis of selection will be academic merit as assessed by the Scholarships GPA over the last two years of full-time graded study, or equivalent.
Closing date for applications
1 November each year in the year preceding the award.

The Scholarships will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Board of Graduate Studies.
University of Auckland Māori and Pacific Graduate Scholarship (M/Hons/PGDip)
The aim of the Māori and Pacific Graduate Scholarship is to assist and encourage Māori and Pacific students to pursue Masters, Honours and PGDip courses at the University of Auckland.
The scholarships are available to Māori and Pacific students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
The scholarships will be offered to students enrolled at the University of Auckland and who have paid the fees, or have arranged to pay the fees, for an approved Masters degree or for the final year of an approved Bachelors Honours degree or, in the case where no Honours degree is available, an approved Postgraduate Diploma.
Recipients of the scholarship will have met the academic merit as assessed by the Scholarships GPA over the last two years of full-time graded study or equivalent.

Varies.
Tenure of award
In the case of a Masters student, a Scholarship shall be tenable until the date for completion of the requirements for the degree specified in the General Regulations - Masters degrees, and payments shall commence from the first day of the semester of enrolment.
In the case of a Bachelors Honours student, a Scholarship shall be tenable until the date specified in the relevant degree regulations for the completion of the requirements for the degree or for twelve months (whichever is the lesser).
