FlexIT is an online service that gives staff and students access to software applications from any device at any time. As long as you have a computer or supported device that has an internet connection, you will be able to access FlexIT.
While we will always aim to make all the software applications on FlexIT available to everyone, in some cases this isn’t possible. There are a small number of applications that are restricted to different people or locations based on our licensing agreement with the manufacturer, such as Adobe Creative Cloud. You will only see the applications that legally you are entitled to use.

When can I use FlexIT?
We will be rolling out FlexIT to initial courses from September 2019 and then opening it up to everyone from the end of the year. If your course is one of the initial courses we will be contacting you beforehand.

What to do if FlexIT is slow for you
Some helpful tips
- Adobe Creative Cloud is only available using University-owned computers (it can’t be used with your personally-owned computer) – this is due to Adobe’s licensing agreement.
- If you are having trouble logging in to FlexIT and get an error 500 message, please ensure you clear your browser cache.
- We will always aim to have all FlexIT applications available for everyone. If you can’t see an application listed in FlexIT it is because the license agreement means you cannot use it.
