Bridge to Law School

Bridge to Law School provides incoming law students with an introduction to life at the University and Auckland Law School. Through a series of workshops and activities, participants gain practical study skills, learn about available services and begin building connections with fellow students and staff.

• Academic preparation: Develop the core skills needed for success in LLB Part I, including critical thinking, legal reasoning, legal research, case analysis and academic writing.
• Transition support: Learn how to navigate university systems, understand course requirements, access support services and make the most of the resources available to you.
• A network: Connect with fellow incoming law students, peer mentors and staff, and begin developing support networks and establish a sense of belonging within the Law School community.
• Exploration of the legal profession: Learn about legal careers and gain early exposure to the legal profession through workshops and guest speakers.
• Kai: Food and refreshments are provided during the programme sessions.

• Applications close: Wednesday 20 January 2027
• Successful applicants notified: Early February 2027

Note: Successful applicants are expected to attend all programme sessions.

This programme is available to school leavers commencing LLB Part I in Semester One 2027.

The 2027 online application form will go live on Monday 2 November 2026.
