Investment Analyst Summer Internship
Jasmine Social Investments
Position details
Application close date: Friday 11 September 2026
Employment type: Summer Internship
Location: Auckland CBD
About the company
Curious about how primary healthcare reaches remote communities in Togo, or how smallholder farmers in Malawi build a better income? This might be the job for you.
Jasmine Social Investments takes a venture philanthropy approach to driving social change. We identify exceptional entrepreneurs tackling some of today’s most pressing problems, including access to education and healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, and climate resilience. These are sector leaders with big ambitions and the drive to see them through. We help them get investment-ready, connect them to other donors in our network, and work alongside them as they scale to reach millions of people. To date, we have disbursed more than $300 million across grants and impact investments.
About the role
As an analyst, you will be right in the middle of this work, understanding how we assess new opportunities, make funding decisions, and deepen our confidence in the impact they are creating. You will work closely with our Investment Principals, supporting due diligence on organisations in our portfolio. You will be a genuine contributor to the team, helping draft reports that get to the heart of:
- How these interventions actually work
- The team on the ground that makes it happen
- How the right growth strategy can result in long-lasting impactful change
On a day-to-day basis, that means writing a first draft for an investment memo, analysing key metrics across financials, operations, and impact, collecting the relevant diligence materials, and helping track milestones against actuals. You will also sit in on calls with established social entrepreneurs to get real exposure to how we identify and support social ventures.
The internship will follow a clear structure, aimed at building the relevant candidate into a well rounded investment analyst. This will include presenting your work to the team each fortnight, where we will push you to make and defend clear recommendations.
About you
What we do is a rare blend of startup investing, financial analysis, behavioural science and impact evaluation. We are looking for individuals with an innate curiosity about how the world works, who enjoy crafting a beautifully written paragraph, can think numerically, and love debating a point of view.
We are a small team with the energy of a start-up, keep formal meetings to a minimum, and often collaborate with people in different time zones. To thrive at Jasmine, you will need to be detail oriented while able to see the bigger picture, and proactive enough that you don’t need to be told what to do next.
How to apply
This is a 12-week paid programme, starting in November. You will be based in Auckland at our CBD office at least three days a week as part of our hybrid setup. We are flexible around university schedules and a well-deserved break, but we also value someone who can pitch in a few extra hours during the occasional busy stretch.
Please send your CV and a brief statement on why this internship appeals to you to lidia@jasmine.org.nz. Applications close on 11 September 2026.

Law Clerk
Arnold Bloch Leibler, Australia
Position details
Employment type: Seasonal internship*
Location: Sydney, Australia
*Arnold Bloch Leibler offer three clerkship intakes that coincide with university holidays:
- Summer One (November - December)
- Summer Two (January - February)
- Winter (June - July)
About the company
At Arnold Bloch Leibler, our lawyers are exposed to a diverse range of clients and matters, and thrive off working on the most challenging and complex work in the market. This exposure enables them to build their expertise and legal and commercial acumen.
Our internal structure is different from our competitors. Our lawyers are trained to be ‘generalist specialists’ and are able to straddle a range of different legal problems, as opposed to only being specialised in a narrow field.
For example, you might choose to be a finance lawyer, working across corporate finance, property & development finance, restructuring and insolvency. In addition to your core finance work, you will also be exposed to broader commercial transactions like shareholders and joint venture agreements, equity transactions, fund management and financial services – instead of specialising in just one of these areas. In doing so, our teams maintain a client-centric focus.
This approach requires the ability to think differently – you need to cover more ground and be attuned to a broader range of issues. The feedback from our lawyers is that, whilst more challenging, the satisfaction that comes from achieving excellent outcomes for our clients is rewarding and propels their career at a faster pace than would otherwise be the case.
About the role
From day one, you will work alongside our teams on active matters and be given real responsibilities to see how we support our clients. We find the best way to make the most of your clerkship is to get you involved in matters in a meaningful way – and the most effective way to do this is to place you in one team, with a dedicated supervisor and buddy to get you involved in hands-on work from day one. You’ll be treated as part of the team and have the opportunity to make a real contribution. Of course, there will also be scope to try out taking on some work for matters outside of your allocated practice group, to ensure you explore all of the opportunities that exist at Arnold Bloch Leibler. While you will be placed in one team for your clerkship, our teams work together fluidly, and we work closely with our colleagues in our Sydney office.
Your clerkship will provide you with a unique insight into the experience you would have as a Law Graduate. You will quickly become immersed in our culture with the opportunity to work on active matters and be given real responsibilities. You will have direct contact with partners and clients in meetings, calls and court hearings. You will be invited to attend dinners with current Law Graduates as well as lunches with other practice groups across the firm. You will have the opportunity to experience a day with one of our clients, providing a unique opportunity to learn more about their work, why they choose Arnold Bloch Leibler and what they look for when they come to us for legal advice.
You will be allocated a supervisor and a buddy who will be your go-to support people for any questions that arise day-to-day.
How to apply
We require you to submit a covering letter, a copy of your CV and an academic transcript. The emphasis on a considered covering letter is critical. It is an opportunity for us to get to know you, how you are different, and discover why you would like to work at Arnold Bloch Leibler.
If successful, you will be invited to attend a 30-minute interview with two partners and a human resources team member. It is informal and positioned in a way for us to get to know you, figure out what motivates you and discover what you are looking for. It is a two-way dialogue, not an interrogation. Our interview process reflects the type of firm we are, and the value we place on your individuality.
Following your interview, you will be invited to have a coffee with one of our law graduates or junior lawyers. This is the time for you to ask questions about our culture, our work and your potential future with Arnold Bloch Leibler.
