Welcome to New Zealand's largest law faculty. Law at Auckland is challenging, exciting and taught by some of the best-known legal scholars in the country. International students

You are an international student if you are not a citizen or permanent resident of New Zealand or Australia.

Study options

Future undergraduates can apply for LLB Part I or LLB Part II. You may be able to take an approved combination of two degrees as part of a conjoint programme. Overseas law graduates wishing to practise law in New Zealand can study courses as recommended by the New Zealand Council of Legal Education (NZCLE) through the Graduate Diploma in Law or Graduate Certificate in Law.

For postgraduate students we offer taught and research programmes in Masters in Law for the following specialisations - Commercial and Corporate Law, Public Law, Environmental Law, Human Rights Law, International Law, Litigation and Dispute Resolution.

The faculty also offers Master of Legal Studies and Master of Taxation Studies. Students can also apply to undertake their PhD.
