University of Auckland Archives document the history of the University since its foundation in 1883

This includes the institutions that have merged with the university such as the Auckland College of Education and Elam School of Art. The development of the University, academic programmes, and the people that have contributed to the life of the University can all be traced through the official records held in the Archives.
