Public holiday hours

All libraries, study spaces and Student Hubs will be closed from 3pm on the 19 December 2025, except for Kate Edger Information Commons (Level 2) which will be open 7am-12am on the 19 December.

He Māra Mahara | Cultural Collections: Reading Room and
counter will be closed on 19 December 2025 for cleaning.

Most of the libraries, study spaces and Student Hubs will reopen on 5 January 2026 with two exceptions:

• Te Herenga Mātauranga Whānui | General Library and City Campus Student Hub which will be open on 3 - 4 January 2026, 9am-5pm. 
• Tai Tokerau Student Hub and Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library - Whangārei will reopen later, on 12 January 2026. 

All libraries, study spaces and Student Hubs will be closed from 3 - 6 April except for Kate Edger Information Commons (Level 2) which will remain open 24/7. 

Please note: The University of Auckland observes Easter Tuesday, 7 April as a holiday. Some library services will be closed on Easter Tuesday. Other services will operate with reduced hours from 9am-5pm.
