This project is led by Professor Sue Crengle, University of Otago Department of Preventive and Social Medicine. The aim is to compare ethnic identification data for those living in the Southern DHB.

Specifically, we compare self-assessed census data with PHO and Cancer Registry records, to assess the extent to which health data sets may undercount ethnic groups, with a particular focus on Māori.
