Bachelor of Music (Honours)

This is an advanced research extension that you can choose to do when you complete the three year Bachelor of Music. Whether you are a performer, composer, musicologist or music studio teacher, your honours year sees you focus exclusively on your area of specialisation. You will work closely with our staff of leading musicians and music-writers while you explore your chosen major in depth.

Graduate Diploma

An introduction to postgraduate study for those from another discipline, or those with significant industry experience looking to enhance their academic understanding of music. This is a solid introduction to postgraduate study in music, opening up a pathway to the Postgraduate Diploma in Music, and onto the Master of Music. You will have the chance to explore your specific area of interest and learn more about other areas of the discipline.

An introduction to postgraduate study in music. Ideal for furthering skills in your areas of musical interest and building on undergraduate study by allowing you to delve deeper into your selected areas of study.

This is a 60-point programme of focussed study to sharpen your skills and development in preparation for the professional world and possible progression to masters study.

Build upon your skills learned in an undergraduate music degree with a year of postgraduate study in your chosen specialisation. This is a 120-point programme of focussed study to hone your skills and development in preparation for the professional world.

The Master of Music is designed to further develop your musical skills, enabling entry to a high-level career in many areas of music. At masters level, you are able to specialise in one of four distinct areas – performance, composition, musicology or studio pedagogy.
