Opera Scenes 2026

A fully staged performance by voice students from the School of Creative Arts. This year the University of Auckland Opera Workshop presents a programme of scenes, songs, and arrangements by Benjamin Britten. The production is set during the Blitz, as people from all walks of life come together in an Underground shelter.

Reviewing 101 Workshop: Learn how to write reviews

The Auckland Festival Trust and Stray Theatre Company will deliver a two-hour workshop with Young Critic Programme producer, Jillian Davey, designed for first-time reviewers and emerging critics.

Held in November each year, this annual series showcases our students' choreography and the performance aspect of the Dance Studies programme.

Elam Artists Graduate Show

You can visit our online portfolio of work and creative practice research from graduating Elam students, Elam Artists. This site includes more than 450 contemporary art projects from graduating students.

Each year, you can see the work of graduating students as part of the Elam Grad Show. It provides an excellent opportunity for anyone considering studying at Elam to experience the breadth and calibre of work our students produce.

Dates and times: Saturday 28 November - Sunday 29 November, open daily from 10am-4pm.

Student associations

Both the Arts and Education Student Association (AESA) and Auckland University Student Association (AUSA) put on a range of events from orientation week onwards. 

Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship hosts a whole lot of fun training sessions at Kura Matahuna Unleash Space, from how to use a 3D printer to vinyl cutting.
