EDSW students' return to on-campus teaching

A notice for Faculty of Education and Social Work students about the dates you will be required to come back to campus.

You may have seen announcements on the central University’s website and Facebook page about the return to on-campus teaching if Covid-19 levels change to Level 2 in Auckland. The date that has been published (proposing that on-campus teaching resumes on 21 September 2020) is relevant to some Education and Social Work programmes and students but not others.

We acknowledge there may be some confusion around this and therefore hope the following clears things up for you.

The following dates apply to EDSW students in timetabled classes:

1. There will be no scheduled face-to-face or on-campus teaching before Monday 7 September 2020.
2. If you are enrolled in courses that currently have scheduled on-campus teaching at Epsom or Tai Tonga from 7 September onwards we expect this teaching to take place on campus subject to Covid alert level (i.e. only if we are at Level 2 or Level 1).
3. If you are enrolled in a programme that is delivered on the City Campus (e.g. the BA in Education) on-campus teaching will resume on 21 September (again subject to Covid alert level i.e. only if we are at Level 2 or Level 1).
4. If your courses are taught at Tai Tokerau you will be provided with up to date information by Judy Taingahue and should look out for her messages.

As you may appreciate the situation we find ourselves in is a dynamic one. The dates listed above may change, depending on changes to Alert Levels. We will continue to do our best to get consistent messages to you and apologise that this has not happened in this case. We hope you are saying safe and well. Kia kaha.
