Study and social space
You'll find places to study and hang out from the container cafes, through the Arts Quad, and into levels 3 and 4 of Te Puna Mārama / Social Sciences Building.
More than just a study space
This is your space as an Arts student, so make yourself at home. You can eat delicious poke at Ha! Poke, get caffeinated at Mojo, and then settle into your assignments or burn it off at the table tennis table.
And you can plug your phone in to charge at the same time.
Space to work
There's loads of places to get your work done in the open-plan areas on levels 3 and 4 of Te Puna Mārama / Social Sciences Building. There's plenty of power points, and options for if you want to work quietly by yourself or collaborate with your fellow Arts students.
First Year Experience run Assignment Preparation Sessions and Structure and Referencing Checks in the level 4 space, Tuākana Arts run study groups there, and some of your lecturers might hold their office hours there as well.
Space to play
Arts clubs and societies use this space for social gatherings and movie nights, and you can get in touch with the Arts Students' Centre if you would like to book the space for an event.
The study and social space on level 3 and 4 of Te Puna Mārama / Social Sciences Building is open from 7.30am-9pm every day except public and University holidays.
If you want to know anything about using our study and social space, get in touch with the Arts Students' Centre.
