Programme: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Commerce conjoint
Subject: Politics and International Relations; International Business

"I’m doing a Traineeship in the International Business Development team at Theo FÖRCH GmbH & Co. KG, in Germany. FÖRCH has subsidiaries and distribution partners in 55 countries, including Troscoe Ltd in New Zealand. I am directly involved in projects for E-Commerce and Pride Management, and my work involves team collaboration and finding innovative solutions to problems.

"A highlight of my role is working on projects with my colleagues and learning from them. I really value how welcoming the entire team has been from day one. This gives me the opportunity to work on what I’m passionate about – enabling businesses to have a positive impact on children’s and community’s wellbeing.

By studying Arts, I learned to conduct research, evaluate how global politics can impact trade and business in a country, and to present findings, which are core skills in the industry.

"The ability to transfer knowledge into unfamiliar situations and cultural awareness are also key skills I obtained in my degree. I’ve been able to bring the different skills and experiences that I developed in my last role at The Warehouse Group into my current work, such as managing community campaigns and projects, which has further enabled me to learn advanced business development skills."
