Dance Studies Performance Series

Join us to Move Your Thinking!

Ngā Akoranga Kanikani Dance Studies Programme at the University of Auckland is a highly regarded centre of research and artistic practice both in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. The Programme is unique in its approach to the impact of dance on diverse communities.

To move your thinking is to value your own body, mind and culture and to examine what is relevant in diverse artistic and community contexts. It's about activating spaces, mobilising your thinking and inspiring others.

Held in October and November each year, this annual series showcases our students' choreography and the performance aspect of the Dance Studies Programme.

All performances are free and open to the public. Registrations open in October. Join our events mailing list to be the first to find out when tickets are available!
